I'd like to share a bit more about the 'Returning' compositions ( there are 3 of them now ): in the process of creating them, I felt I am drawn lately to create a musical landscape that is reflecting a Returning to the space within, my deeply felt inner world. My aim is to create a space that is quiet, spacious, and very much alive.
I felt I was in fact creating my own medicine, creating the music that I need to hear and so finding the space that I need. I have become aware that deep down my default mode until now has always been pushing myself in one way or another. I feel I'm starting to let that go, and I'm curious what will evolve down the road.
In the meantime, as a musician, I feel blessed to be able to share this. Maybe it will resonate. Check it out if you will, and maybe let me know how you feel about what you hear.
More Returnings will follow, when they're complete, an album?
